An unpopular opinion that I have is that language, hieroglyphics/pictograms/emojis, and numbers are a sort of mental "virus" that builds some distorted virtual world on top of the natural world. I would say the Eastern mystics have it figured out, and mediation and emptying the mind is the pure state of humans. Humans should only have a very simple language like the animals. Like “mmm” when something tastes or feels good, “ahhh” when we feel relieved, “ouch” when we hurt ours
